We operate on the principles of circularity because we believe materials have lives that deserve to continue. We recover forgotten yarns from workshops in Catalonia, surplus buttons from old productions, and give new life to everything the fashion system discards. Our knitting machines are manual, from the 80s — chosen not out of nostalgia, but because they work, last, and connect with a way of doing things that we want to preserve.
We are interested in knowing the origin of each fabric and working with local resources whenever possible. erdi is part of a network of women who understand craftsmanship as something to be nurtured and passed on — and every garment we create is also a way of valuing that work. We avoid waste at all costs, and we believe that fashion does not end with a purchase: that's why each garment includes a needle and thread kit to care for it over time. Repair is resistance.
erdi operates as its own studio and workshop: no external suppliers, no intermediaries, no processes that don't pass through our hands. We design and knit between Bilbao and Barcelona, and each garment is born from scratch—from the first sketch to the final production. We work in limited series, at our own pace, taking care of each phase with attention and detail. We believe in the value of manual work as a way of doing things well: honest, durable garments with a real story behind them.
Erdi is born from our hands. We explore, experiment, and find something new in every piece we create. If you want to be part of that process — a garment or accessory designed just for you, for your body, for a specific moment — we would love to hear from you. Tell us your idea in the form below.
